4. Damage to Building Structures
Damage to various structures is summarized in the following
sections. Although the team is mainly interested in the performance
of building structures, damage to other kinds of structures such
as bridges and power substations are also reported in this chapter.
Each section covers structures in one city and its surrounding
area. The cities included in this chapter are Neiwan (
),
Tungshe (
), Shegang (
), Fengyuan (
), Taichung (
),
Dali (
), Wufung (
), Nantou (
),
Chungliao (
), Jiji (
), Mingjien (
),
Puli (
). The comprehensive survey
for statistical analysis was also carried out in Wufung ()
and the result is discussed in Chapter 4.14.
