Prof. Reginald DesRoches, William and Stephanie Sick Dean of Engineering at the George R. Brown School of Engineering at Rice University, visited our laboratory. Prof. DesRoches and our group members discussed some of our recent research progresses. Prof. DesRoches also gave a public presentation entitled “The promise of smart materials in earthquake resistant design”.
